An intimate church wedding in Thornton Hough, Merseyside
Sarah and Peter’s wedding was an incredibly beautiful, intimate celebration. Set in the picturesque village of Thornton Hough, their ceremony at a gorgeous local church was filled with love and personal touches. This beautiful village, with its stunning black and white cottages, provided the perfect backdrop.
A beautiful church ceremony
Thornton Hough's church is a true gem, and Sarah and Peter's ceremony there was intimate and meaningful. The couple exchanged vows in the presence of their closest family and friends, creating a warm, heartfelt atmosphere. After the ceremony, the couple was greeted with confetti in the rain before rushing to the car to head to the reception. There’s something so special about church weddings, especially in such a quaint village setting, and this one was no exception.
The Little Fox Wirral reception
After the church ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests headed to The Little Fox, a cosy venue just up the road on the Wirral. Surrounded by rolling fields, the venue offered a secluded and peaceful retreat for the reception. The Little Fox provided a beautiful and private space for Sarah and Peter to celebrate with their loved ones.
Wildflower wedding details
The stunning wildflower theme was one of the standout features of Sarah and Peter's wedding. From the beautiful wildflower arrangements in the reception room at The Little Fox to Sarah's breathtaking bouquet, the floral details added a natural, rustic charm to the day. The bouquet, with its mix of thistles and other wildflowers, was one of my all-time favourites to photograph. It was a perfect fit for the relaxed, countryside vibe of the wedding.
A beautiful, relaxed wedding day
Despite a bit of rain right after the church ceremony, the weather held up for the rest of the day. We were lucky enough to take some portraits outside, capturing the couple surrounded by the stunning countryside. It was the perfect way to end a relaxed, intimate wedding.
