A stunning Summer wedding at Sefton Palm House in Liverpool

Sefton Palm House is one of the most unique and breathtaking wedding venues in Liverpool and all of the North West. Located within the stunning grounds of Sefton Park, this Victorian glasshouse offers a one-of-a-kind setting for couples who want a wedding day that feels both romantic and effortlessly elegant. It's also a great choice for couples who want the aesthetic of having an outdoor wedding ceremony but don't trust the weather!

Sefton Park Palm House is one of my favourite venues to photograph. There’s just something magical about this place - the lush greenery, the stunning glass walls and ceiling that flood the space with natural light, and the sense of history that permeates the building. It’s no wonder so many couples fall in love with it. It was on my list of iconic venues I wanted to photograph for such a long time and I'm so happy that couples ask me to photograph their weddings there regularly.

Why Sefton Palm House is the perfect wedding venue

One of the things that makes Sefton Park Palm House so perfect is that it’s already naturally beautiful. The abundance of plants, tropical greenery and vibrant flowers create a striking backdrop that doesn’t require a lot of extra decoration. Whether you’re planning a minimalist wedding or something more elaborate, the venue's aesthetic works perfectly for every style of wedding.

The fully glass structure with its high ceilings ensures that the space feels open and airy while still being intimate. The natural light streaming in throughout the day creates a warm and inviting atmosphere that’s perfect for wedding photography. For summer weddings, the light is absolutely magical, making every moment - whether it's the ceremony or your first dance - look like a scene from a fairytale.

A Summer celebration to remember

The summer wedding I recently photographed at Sefton Palm House was nothing short of spectacular. The couple, surrounded by friends and family, exchanged their vows in the most stunning setting imaginable. The ceremony space at Sefton Palm House is truly a photographer’s dream - it’s spacious, full of natural light, and framed by the gorgeous greenery that makes this venue so iconic.

One of the highlights of this wedding was seeing the incredible floral work by Mary Mary Floral Design. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing her work at several weddings, and she never fails to impress. The floral arrangements seamlessly complemented the lush surroundings of the Palm House, adding a touch of colour and elegance to the ceremony space.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed drinks and canapés in the beautiful gardens surrounding the Palm House. Sefton Park itself is a fantastic spot for photos, with its stunning landscaped grounds.

The natural light is incredible. As a photographer, I’m always chasing good light, and Sefton Palm House delivers in spades. The glass walls and ceiling ensure that every angle is bathed in beautiful, soft light, making your photos look incredible.

Whether you want a boho-chic wedding, a timeless classic look, or a modern minimalist vibe, the Palm House provides the perfect canvas for your vision. It's also such a conveniently located venue; located just a short drive outside of Liverpool city centre, it’s easy for guests to get to.
