A Stylish Liverpool Wedding Day

It was such a joy to photograph Laura and Ben's gorgeous Liverpool city centre wedding. From getting ready at Hope Street Hotel to a beautiful ceremony at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral, and finishing the night with a party at Frederiks - this was such a brilliant wedding to photograph.

I started at Hope Street Hotel where Laura was getting ready with her bridesmaids and mum. I love this hotel for both getting ready and also wedding days - the spaces are so bright and airy and I love the views across Liverpool from the balconies. It was so lovely that Laura could look out across at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral as she got ready.

A Meaningful Ceremony at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral

The ceremony took place at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral, one of Liverpool’s most iconic landmarks. The architecture is dramatic, modern and instantly recognisable - I was so excited to photograph a wedding at the cathedral as it's such an iconic space. Even though the cathedral is huge, the ceremony felt intimate and it felt so meaningful to be in such an important space and to photograph a wedding there.

Portraits on Hope Street

After the ceremony, we took a short walk along Hope Street, which links the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Anglican Cathedral. It’s one of Liverpool’s most photogenic spots, full of character and history, and made the perfect backdrop for Laura and Ben’s portraits. Liverpool has so many beautiful streets for photography!

Wedding Reception at Frederiks Liverpool

Once the formalities were done, it was time to celebrate in style and Frederiks Liverpool was the perfect reception venue. Tucked away on Hope Street, it has a cool, laid-back atmosphere with great food, cocktails, and a brilliant space for live music and dancing. Guests filled the bar and spilled onto the dancefloor, enjoying the evening in true Liverpool style!

A Stylish and Fun Liverpool Wedding

Liverpool is one of my favourite cities and I always love being able to visit and photograph beautiful weddings there. I love both of the Liverpool cathedrals so it was such an honour to be able to photograph Laura and Ben's gorgeous city centre Liverpool wedding at the Metropolitan Cathedral!
