Longlands at Cartmel is a beautiful barn wedding venue in the Lake District.

Set in the beautiful Lake District countryside, Longlands at Cartmel is a venue that I was really excited to photograph. I love the Lake District (and always love photographing Lake District weddings) and knew that Erin and Brendan were such a stylish couple so I was really excited to see how their wedding celebrations turned out. With a meaningful ceremony led by their friend in the converted barn, bright florals by the Ancoats Florist, expert planning and coordination by Spark Alice it really was the most amazing wedding day.

I love a wedding where it's really obvious that the couple have thought about traditions and taken what's important to them and left the rest of it. Weddings are meant to be fun; if you don't want group photos or to cut the cake then don't! Wedding traditions are to be played with and your day should always be a reflection of your story.
