Elmley Nature Reserve is a unique wedding venue on the Isle of Sheppey, Kent.
It's such an amazing venue with 3,300 acres of a stunning nature reserve. Dan and Frank had their ceremony outside, led by a friend, which allowed it to be really personal to them. After the ceremony, confetti and drinks we headed to the Victorian barn for dinner and dancing. Their wedding was so much fun - the evening ended with Frank's family playing music for everyone. They're all super talented musicians and with the help of various family members coming up to play instruments and sing it ended the night on such a lovely note. Elmley Nature Reserve is definitely on the list of venues that I'd love to return to again.
I love that Dan and Frank had a wedding that was really unique to them - Dan's gorgeous colourful dress was beautiful; I always love to see couples ignoring tradition and choosing things that feel right to them. Dan and Frank got ready in the morning together and we even did portraits before the ceremony as they wanted to have as much time as possible with family and friends during their wedding reception. I always say that weddings should be personal to you, and traditions are only important if they're important to you. Don't be afraid of mixing things up, or changing timelines to suit you like Dan and Frank did!
